Megan Young, proud sa kapwa beauty queens

Aminado si Kapuso star and Miss World 2013 Megan Young na naapektuhan na ng pandemya ang beauty pageant industry.

“I host Miss World every year and wala rin akong balita kung ano’ng mangyayari doon. It has definitely changed. As of now, I have no idea. But I think the first thing that we want to do is to make sure that everyone’s safe,” ayon kay Megan.

Napansin naman ni Megan na marami pa rin ang naghahanda para sumabak sa pageants sa kabila ng pagpapatigil sa large gatherings, “Marami rin naghahanda kasi beauty pageants are there for a good cause and there are so many advocacies ng girls. So malay natin maiba ‘yung platform ng beauty pageants in the coming years. Maybe it would not just be a show anymore.”

Ipinahayag din ni Megan ang kanyang paghanga sa mga kapwa beauty queens na aktibo at vocal pagdating sa current social issues, “I commend them for speaking their mind. I think we all have different ways of showing support for certain things: others may be outspoken about certain things, others they try to do it behind closed doors, and others do it through donating.”

Habang tigil muna sa mga serye, inilalaan ni Megan at asawa nitong si Mikael Daez ang kanilang oras sa paggawa ng vlogs, podcasts, at pagsali sa online game tournaments for a good cause.
